Azureus on Debian Etch

Hi again, I have been experimenting with the synaptic package manager on Debian Etch. I have used Azureus as a torrent downloader for quite some time - without problems for the most part. For some reason I cannot get Azureus to work on Etch?

I installed the latest Azureus 2.5.0.4 using the package manager, but every time I try to restart after the general installation - a fault comes up. "cannot restart the azupdater plugin not installed".

I have tried removing and reinstalling but get the same fault over and over again.
Has anyone had similar problems trying to install Azureus on Etch?

Update

Hi again, well, I tried downloading azureus 2.5.0.4 and ran it from a terminal. There wasn't a problem with any plugins? My guess is that the dependencies list of extras that are needed to run azureus is the problem.

I can run and download from the terminal. My wish is now to create a link to the program/internet list on my desktop?

I guess that is included in the extras list?

To install Azureus from the synaptic installer the following are needed:

libcommons-cli-java
liblog4jl.2-java
libseda-java
libswt-gtk-3.2-java
libswt-gtk-3.2-jni

Is there anyone who can shed some light on why I can run Azureus from a terminal but not install it from the synaptic installer without causing azupdater problems?

I think that there is possibly a glitch in the workings of Debian Etch?
