Ok i installed AVIFILE and i feel like a moron because i cant find it under my multimedia tab. I thought if i tried to run a avi file it wiould come on but it didnt xine did. So what should or can i do to get avifile to work.

avifile is a library for avi's, used my mplayer, xine etc.., not an application per se. there is aviplay in the package, but it's not really suitable for general use.
