I think tovid (the application in question), was created by one of the members of this forum and judging by the homepage and screenshots, the project has come a long way

DeVeDe(http://www.rastersoft.com/programas/devede.html) is also good, and it lets you name titles and stuff. It also works with DVDs, Super VCDs, and more.
