Avant window

I have been looking at Avant window which looks like a useful thing to have in the taskbar but am unsure exactly where I download it from.
There is plenty of info on the net about it but finding the homepage is not that easy.
I am using Mint 11.
Any advice on where to download it from along with any additional comments would be appreaciated.

thanks

You should install it using your package manager, not download it from their website. Avant Window Navigator should be in Mint's repositories. Use Synaptic to install it.

It doesn't go in the panel (the proper term is "panel", not "taskbar"), it replaces the panel.

And you get it using the package manager. There is a GUI for it, or you can use the command line:

Code:
apt-get install avant-window-navigator
It's almost never a good idea to install software without the package manager, since it will not be tracked by it. This means that it will be difficult to uninstall and dependencies could get messed up.
