Automatically being logged out

I've recently installed SuSE 9. I've come up with a number of questions but one that really concerns me is the issue of being automatically logged out of the user I'm currently logged in as.

So far, I only get automatically logged out when I'm typing something and I hit "Shift + (some key)" or "Ctrl + (some key)." I haven't paid close attention enough b/c I'm caught up in typing something but I know the last time it happened, I hit Shift + [L or K or O or P or some key in that area of the keyboard].

It's really become inconvenient and I've decided to wait to log back into linux until I've found a solution. I don't want to log into linux to only find myself getting logged out in the middle of typing something. It's become really annoying.

If anyone has any suggestions or similar situations, I'd really appreciate hearing them. Thanks again. No flaming please.

So I guess I get to press Ctrl + D and find out what that does since I don't know what you mean by just Ctrl + D as your reply.

Not sure what Ctrl + D is supposed to do. I try it while in linux and it doesn't do anything.

UPDATE: If I press Shift + Backspace it automatically logs me out.

Any other suggestions on how to remove this feature? I've checked the Control Center and I don't see any keyboard shortcut that is "Shift + Backspace." Is there a file I can make a modification at? Or a command that would remove this keyboard shortcut? I'm sure there has to be something.

I found the fix on some SuSE email list searches. All I had to do was change the Keyboard layout to a different one. It was one of the Logitech Cordless ones.
