automatic running from boot
I just got quake 2 dedicated servers to run on my machine and i can play from the other machines in my house (woohooo) plus had some people from gamespy join on my machine didn't stay long (of course two of em get nice pings but i'm only hosting on cable here) well anyway to get to the point.. I installed classic x win system i think it is.. or maybe its regular x win system... anyways i want that to automatically start up then start up both sessions of my quake 2 servers (one dm the other is LM CTF) on boot (if for somereason i have to turn it off or power surge or something) i figured maybe it was as easy as editing a bootfile list sortof deal ya know ? i dunno though i'm lost and its late and i would search around but i wanna get this done asap. but i'm using "startx not KDE or gnome just some plain ol screen with xterminals you can open... its all i need" so i can have TWO sessions open unless there is another way of running two programs at once just the normal way.../shrug any help would be appreciated and yes i'm a newbie at this... only had a linux box operational with network support for a few days now... and i'm loving every minute of learning....
