Well, I had this problem with my laptop's CDROM that I can fix by loading cdrom.o with insmod before I try to mount it.
My question is, is there a file I can put this insmod command into to load the cdrom.o module every time I boot up? It'd save me some typing, and the autmounting in GNOME would work again.
Do I have to recompile my kernel with this module? How would I do that?
