autofs not working properly

Hello,

In one of our RHEL 6 server automounter doesn't mount all the NFS volumes.

It gives an error "Not a directory" for few mounts only. It works fine with most other mounts though.

This server will always have huge number of mounts available (~300) on it. Is there a limit on number of mounts? Is there a limit on UDP connections? why does this happen with only few mounts?

There is not much I could derive from logs

Thanks,

Have you checked those specific mounts? The Not a directory seems obvious....

Maybe this will help: The NFS Automounter

If all the above fails then I would advise you to contact Red Hat and get your moneys worth.
