autoexec.bat analogous for linux?....


hi ....im using linux after a long time....and i remember adding a file to my home directory which executes as soon as a user logs in.....if anyone knows the name of that file....?.........

Hi,

if you're using bash you want to look into ~/.bashrc or ~/.bash_profile ...

Other shell, other file, but you can say that you can find the file you need in the manpage of $shell
