auto unmounting problem in fedora 8


i am using fedora 8 .... as soon as i exit from amarok.or rythmbox.the drives are automatically unmounted...
it makes me to again rescan my drive s for the collection as soon as it starts ....thus taking lot of time.......
someone tell me why does this happen...........

The drives are unmounted? What drives? I can't imagine that an application has any effect on what is mounted or not unless you use autofs .
