Auto reply setup process in squirrel mail
 
I have configured mail server using Centos. I have also used procmail and used squirrel mail as webmail browser. I want to provide auto reply facility to my users? What should I do?

If the users are local system users then use "vacation" which should be available in CentOS.

Vacation returns a message, ~/.vacation.msg by default, to the sender informing them that you are currently not reading your mail. The message is only sent to each
sender once per reply interval (see -r below). The intended use is in a .forward file. For example, your .forward file might have:

\eric, "|/usr/bin/vacation -a allman eric"

which would send messages to you (assuming your login name was eric) and reply to any messages for ``eric'' or ``allman''.

My email users are in local system. I have created them and redirected the folders in the home directory. SO
does the "vacation" file belong to \home\username?

Where do I find it ?

You may go through the basic vacation tutorials available over the internet. I also use squirrel mail and it is fairly a simple task to add this option. Squirrel mail is a standards-based webmail package written in PHP4. It includes built-in pure PHP support for the IMAP and SMTP protocols, and all pages render in pure HTML format.
