Auto-Reconnect

How can I make the Network Device Control auto-reconnect ?

Are we talking about a dialup connection? If so, edit your /etc/ppp/peers/provider file and add the line "persist" to it. This is assuming that is your definition file. The definition file should be in that directory, it just may be called something else. Provider is the default, though (under debian anyway).

Yes. It's dial-up. How can I edit a txt file in RedHat 9?

You should have one of: emacs, xemacs, nedit, nano, vi. So, for example while in the /etx/ppp/peers directory, type: "emacs provider". Same goes for all of them. I recommend trying vi as a last resort. It's very non-user-firendly.
