Auto mount doesn't work!!

Hello,

When I installed my mandrake 10.1, the automount feature of the CD writer and DVD ROM was working just fine, until I restarted the computer. I checked the fstab contents and it looks alright to me. Maybe I am missing something:

/dev/hda6 / ext3 defaults 1 1
none /dev/pts devpts mode=0620 0 0
/dev/hda8 /home ext3 defaults 1 2
/dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom auto umask=0022,user,iocharset=utf8,ro,exec,users 0 0
/dev/hdd /mnt/cdrom2 auto umask=0022,user,iocharset=utf8,ro,exec,users 0 0
none /mnt/floppy supermount dev=/dev/fd0,fs=ext2:vfat,--,umask=0022,iocharset=utf8,sync 0 0
/dev/hda1 /mnt/win_c ntfs umask=0022,nls=utf8,ro 0 0
/dev/hda5 /mnt/win_d ntfs umask=0022,nls=utf8,ro 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda7 swap swap defaults 0 0

for both CDROM and CDROM2 it says AUTO but no luck! I am sure someone knows the solution and I appreciate the help!

the "auto" there means to automatically figure out what type of filesystem your cdrom has(joliet, iso9660,etc.), it doesn't mean automount it when you insert it.

THanks for the tip!!!
However, it did not help me resolving my issue. Would you please tell me how to make my cd roms automount again.

Thanks
