If I have understood what you are trying to ask, you are trying to earn or increase hits through auto-clicks?

A very bad thing indeed!

I am not going to earn but to increase some hits status.

May be very bad but I need to know

win32sux 10-11-2008 01:39 AM

What exactly is it that you are trying to accomplish by raising the hit count like this?

I'd rather not see LQ help you if you know deliberately fscking up things is a bad slash unethical thing to do.

AFAIK it is normally done by adding better content to the site and attracting more visitors. Autoclicking is considering cheating, so I don't think you'll get any help.

Yes, there is a possibility to access sites from command line.

Looks to me as though the OP meant to use the word "Auto-Update" for the title of his post.
Just guessing here, but it looks to me as though the OP has two web pages that are being attacked by "Auto-Clickers" and his hit counters are not updating rapidly enough for him to catch the "Auto-Clickers" in the act.

If my hypothesis is correct, the OP is asking for help in going to the Linux Command Line to execute a timed refresh of his web page or at least the Hit Counter function.

AIt would help if the OP were to post the particulars.
Is it Apache?
Is it Mysql?
is it ph?
is it phpbb3
Which Linux distribution package?

The OS=RHE with Apache

I am using lynx to view the sites on command line but is it possible to refresh on the page on command line after some seconds?

Thanks

@Raakh: You've been asked to explain what it is that you are trying to accomplish with this, and you have not yet done so. Your question so far is quite borderline regarding what the Mod Team might consider suitable for closure. There's currently three possible outcomes I see for this thread:

1) You clearly explain what it is you are trying to accomplish, and the thread continues.

2) You clearly explain what it is you are trying to accomplish, and the thread is closed.

3) You refuse to explain what it is you are trying to accomplish, and the thread is closed.

I suggest you take your chances between 1) and 2).

@Everyone: It's one thing to ask for help on LQ with something which sounds like cheating and - as my fellow moderator pointed out - unethical. It could be that the person asking simply didn't know that LQ isn't a place where such questions are welcome. But it's a completely different thing to ignore a moderator's request for clarification and instead continue posting follow-up questions.

As such, I ask that members do not post any further replies until the OP has explained the big picture, and a moderator has provided a green light. LQ will not be used to help people cheat, no matter how trivial the method to do so might be.
