Authentication error token
 

Hello!

I've just downloaded Ubuntu 11.10 and everything was going great. I tried to change the password to match my authentication key, or something of that nature, and now I can't unlock anything. I tried to change the password through the drop root method, because I thought that I might have misspelled it somehow. It didn't work, saying that it was a manipulation error. So, I thought it was the Likewise Open program blocking it. But when I tried to remove it, it said that it could not be parsed. I'm just confused, and wondering if I need to download Ubuntu onto my laptop again and hope for the best?

what "authentication key"?
What do you mean by "unlock"?
"Likewise Open program"?
Sorry, I'm confused too. I installed some Ubuntus myself and never saw those terms.
