Audio Problems with RedHat 9
I have ASUS A7V400MX motherboard having AC97 integrated audio.
Redhat had seemingly detected it, but when I run any audio player, there's no sound. When I run the soundcard detection test, no sound is heard and I get a message telling me that the Soundcard has not been detected. Please help!! |
Post lspci from root.

duh, what's lspci? what do i do with it?
|
Run the program 'lspci' in a root console, and post it's output, is what he means. It will tell us about the devices your have in your computer so that we can give you specific advice.
|
When i typed lspci, it said 'command not found'.
any other suggestions? |
It's a superuser command, run it as root.
|
Guess what, I installed Suse Linux 9.2 and there were no audio problems!! So, that's the end of it. Any way, thank you all for your advice.
