Angry Audio Cds dont play


I cant play audio cds in SuSE 8.2

What specifically is happening? are you getting any sort of error messages? Are you simply getting no sound output?

It is very difficult to help with such a general question. Providing as much detail as possible is helpful not only to those who might have an answer, but also to those who have the same or similar problem and are searching for help.

need more information.......

Woah thnx 4 replyin dude everthing is fine no errors come up but wen i go on dvd drive and right click it cant detect the filesystem which proberly means no cd plyer or music playing program can detect it

Do I need linux codecs if so how do get on the internet Ive tried using kinternet and and configuring my isp number in it and setting it up then Kinternet tries to connect and then it gets cut off.when this happens does it mean that 1.my isp doesnt support
Kinternet2.My modem is a winmodem

It sounds like you are tryingto mount the audio CD. Audio CDs can't be mounted the same as a data CD. They are not really a filesystem.
Which program are you using to play it?

in XMMS just right click, select play location then type /mnt/cdrom

works for me.
