Audacious cannot update metadata

Hi,

Whenever I try to add or update metadata from a MP3 file, Audacious gives the message "Metadata updating failed".

I use Ubuntu (9.10) and installed Audacious (2.1.0) from the Ubuntu Software Center.

Does anybody know what causes this or how I can find out what the problem is... Is there like some logging anywhere, with details?

Hi,

A quick search shows that this could be a known bug: Metadata updaing failed when trying to update ID3 tags on mp3 files.

BTW: Logging, among other things, can be found here: ~/.config/audacious

I did see that page... But because there's no solution, I still didn't know if it's a bug in the Audacious-software or a problem in configuration or something, so I don know if/how I can fix it.

Thanks for the location of the logfiles... In this case there's not much usefull info, but it's good to know where I can find it
