The dual boot doesn't seem to be the problem. It's just...when I startup my computer, RedHat Linux 9 appears to start up right, but it stops, asking for a login and then a password. I don't know what login they are talking about. I mean I only get to enter in a password in setup for root/admin. What login would that have? This is my first time using Linux so I'm a little lost. [I'm good with Windows! ] And what is that 2nd login thing? You know the one where u aren't an admin. Where and how can I set up one of those? FYI.....I never have gotten Linux started because of the login problem. I hope you understand what I'm talking about.

Do you mean after RH9 starts, you are sitting at an X login screen, blue backround, RH in corner, with a box in the middle asking for a username, then when you enter, next a password?

If that is the case, enter root for username, then the root password you entered during install. You should then go into System Settings, Users and Groups, and set up another username and password to use for daily work. Root gives you tons of access, and therefore the ability to make lots of mistakes.

I am also facing the same problem. I got the Linux login acreen but not able to go inside the linux. I tried with root login but it's again and again is coming on the same login screen.

I really appreciate, if anybody can help to get it out.
