well...it's not an executable file so .......that's true.
you can use the " cat" command to view it in a console.
like : cat <filename> | less
with the "less" you can use pgup/pgdn.

do a : "ls -l /var/log " and see if there's a log-file....
strange if it isn't there...

well...the file is there, you should be able to read it....
did you type the complete path to it...?

there must be other output besides "no screens found", usually the other output will give you a clue as to what went wrong, so you can know why the fatal error occurred
