Ati Drivers totally stuck
 

Hi all

i was wonedering if anyone could help me with this one
I am running FC3 with an ATI 9600pro card

I was running the resolution on the desktop as 1920x1440

i realise that as i didnt have the Ati drivers installed that the processor was doing alot of work and i was gettign a low frame rate

so i downloaded and installed the Ati drivers and got them working

however the maximum resolution i can get is 1600x1200 which would be ok but is really huge on a 21" monitor

can anyone help me get my resolution back its driving me nuts.....

I'm not sure if this will work but it is worth a try.

If you edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file as root and go to the screen section and edit the display subsection to add a mode "1920x1440" then in X 'ctrl'+'alt'+'+' should change the display settings.
