ATI Driver Problems
I can't seem to install my ATI Drivers.
I download the .run file from the ATI website. Launch the installer in the terminal under root. First, I went into the option that allowed me to build a .DEB package. This did not work however, there was an error in the log file, something about pckg-buildpackage not a valid command. Second, I tried the first option "Install Driver 8.19.10 on x.Org 6.8.x" It went through the whole installation, said it was finished. However, i still get no 3D acceleration. I checked the install.log file and this is what it contains: Quote:

That is basically telling you that the precomiled ATi driver's are compiled against a different kernel. You need to install the full kernel sources and headers for the kernel you are running and rerun the ati driver installation.
