Asus mainboards that come with its own graphics card and audio card

Those Asus socket 775 mainboards that come with its own integrated graphics cards and/audio cards, can I still place my own separate independent video card and audio card on those boards?

thanks a lot gurus @ Linux Questions!!

why not?

only condition is to have proper slots on board e.g. pci-e or something

yes you could.. but why not just buy one without integrated video if you plan on using an add in card instead of the integrated video anyway ?

Quite a few models without integrated video..

I think the main advantage of having integrated video card and external card is the possibility to make several parallel displays (e.g. two monitors and LCD-TV). It's very convinient! ;-)
