Asus EEE PC r105 ubuntu compatibility

Hi all,

Is the netbook Asus EEE PC r105 compatible with ubuntu 11.04?

Please suggest some other netbook models which work well with ubuntu/linux mint...

P.S. The store near my house has the above mentioned Asus, Sony Vaio VPC(...), lenovo S205 and HP pavillion netbooks readily available...any idea which one is the most hassle free with ubuntu?

thanks in advance

i don't know about that specific computer, but i'll say this:

pretty much every computer i've put ubuntu, mint or any other linux distro for that matter has run with very few problems, and any problems i've come across as far as hardware goes has always had a fix or a driver that would make it work.. except for printers and scanners

haven't actually tried any netbooks.

a custom built computer, an old dell, an old compaq, a new ibuypower for desktops

and a dell laptop, gateway laptop and an new asus laptop for laptops.

i know that ubuntu used to have a netbook edition but then it merged into the default ubuntu so i would be suprised if it didn't work, especially since EEE PC's are the main netbook out there.

i would wait for some other people to comment that have tried it on EEEPc's before you buy though.
