Associating RPMs in GNOME on SuSE 9

Ok...by default SuSE uses the KDE shell. I have chosen GNOME because i HATE KDE. I am facing a problem when trying to run RPM packages. No program is associated with them. In KDE, Yast is. How can I associate a program to let me run the RPMs? Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with Nautilus but in konqueror you just "right-click" on the rpm pkg and select Open with, then you can browse to whatever rpm tool you choose and tell konqueror to remember to use that program for all rpm packages. It's alot like windows explorer. I'm sure Nautilus can do something similar.

I know where you are talking about...with the associations. My problem is...what program do I use to run the RPMs. I can do it from the terminal, it works fine...but what program should I associate it with to run them visually rather than from the terminal?

If you used Yast in KDE then it should also work in Gnome. If not then you can try grpm or kpackage. Or get Mandrakes Gurpmi, works great and handles dependencies.
