Associate Files To Mplayer???

Is there a way that I can associate files to Mplayer so all I have to do is double click on it and Mplayer will play it?

P.S. why is this not auto subscribing me to the threads that I make so it is easier to track my threads?

I use Mandriva but should be similar.

Use Konqueror or your file manager go to directory with mp3 files in it. Right click the file and scroll to -open with- option.
Last option in this menu will be something like --other.
Select --other and you can asscociate any program to that file --Look down in the tab boxes and check the box marked remeber this for these files.

See how you go.

Hi. Where are you trying to double click them from, your file manager, or what location. In Konqueror you go to settings, configure konqueror, file associations, and set it up there. Under audio it will list the type of file and you can set up whatever player you want associated to the file type.

Ummmmm, I am using Gnome, I do not have configure konqueror in my settings. Konqueror is a GUI correct?

Another thing with Mplayer, is there a way to integrate this into firefox? It surely cannot be impossible in Fedora to have media within webpages. I am a very multimedia oriented person. I am trying to think of any way possible to play movies that are integrated into webpages. Or streaming audio.

I like to listen to this streaming broadcast:
