Assigning management IP for kvm guest other than eth0
I am starting kvm guest through command line from kvm.
-device pci-assign,host=04:00.0 \
-device pci-assign,host=07:00.0 -device pci-assign,host=07:00.1 \
-device pci-assign,host=07:00.2 -device pci-assign,host=07:00.3 \
-device pci-assign,host=82:00.0 -device pci-assign,host=82:00.1 \
-device pci-assign,host=82:00.2 -device pci-assign,host=82:00.3 \
-device e1000,netdev=net0 -netdev tap,id=net0,script=/etc/qemu-ifup0 \
When I use this to start guest, management IP is getting assigned to eth0 and eth9. where 04:00.0 is eth9.
Problem 1: Management IP is getting assigned to all free interfaces with same IP address
Problem 2: Assigning IP address to kvm guest during bootup.
I just want one management IP that is assigned to host=04:00.0
I tried removing ifcfg-eth0 file. But I got eth0 and eth9 up with no IP assigned.
Pls help, If I can assign IP through guest start up script in kvm.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
