asp with apache???

does asp work with apache and linux? i was reading a book and it was sayin it works with all microsoft server stuff. So what about linux does asp work with it?

I don't think that asp is supported by apache but the equivalent to asp in the linux world is php. php is more powerfull and popular anyways :)

so this means all the things i want to do with HTML with asp i would have to use php to run it on linux?

is is php still run in the htm like asp?

Linux doesn't support ASP unless you get something called Sun ONE Active Server Pages (formerly Chili!Soft ASP). Unfortunately it cost a lot of money.

so php will do all the things to webpages that asp does?

Damn then that means i bought the wrong book. Guess i have to go back to the book store.:o

Well here is a link to things apache/asp related that may help out. I'd recommend php as it goes hand in hand with apache and is easy to do and learn but to each their own.
