Are there any mail programs with MSN Hotmail support?

As I have found out my default mail app (Mozilla Thunderbird) doesn't seem to support MSN Hotmail.

I have found out the following:
- It uses HTTPMail.
- It uses Port 0 (Strange...)
- Doesn't use SSL
- The address for the service is: http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp (Don't click on this address as it's for mail use for the HTTPMail protocol)

Anybody know a mail app that supports HTTPMail or MSN Hotmail?

You need to install a program called hotwayd (or alternatively, hotpops). Microsoft use their own proprietary protocols and you need to install a mail server program between your client and MSN to enable the client to work.

the best is to get rid of your hotmail (it's TOO bad*!!) and use a better mailbox...

*no securuty, no confidentiality, no stability, no standard protocols, etc..)

I use gotmail to fetch mail from the hotmail server and either use my ISP POP account to send, or send using sendmail
