I also have issues with other apps so I'm thinking I need to edit some conf files?

Any help is alsways welcomed!

If you're trying to use the CD/DVD you need to get the DVD drive configured. If you just need to use the online repositories, then you need to edit /etc/apt/sources.list and comment out (i.e. put a "#" symbol in front of) the lines that start with cdrom:.

The GPG problem means you probably need to install the apt key.

You can either create a symlink to the proper device or edit /etc/fstab so that it is mounted at the proper mount point.
