apt-get/Synaptic problem

Hi,

I'm trying to install microsoft core fonts but it cannot connect some fonts to download , how can I skip those fonts, so when I download something else from synaptic - it doesn't show up again.

Thanks

If you're using Synaptic, just find the msttypefonts package, and de-select it for install (click on it, and select "Unmark").

Alternately, if it shows up in Synaptic, but Synaptic is having troubles fetching it from the server, you may need to click the "Reload" button on the Synaptic toolbar. Or, if you're in the command-line, type:
Code:
# apt-get update
.

Quite simply, it sounds like your apt cache may be slightly out of date; it's not a big issue.

I'm glad you got it working.

The thing I love about Linux, is that there is no software problem that isn't fixable.
