APT-GET in knoppix doesn't connect

Hello all,

Since a few weeks i have a problem with my Knoppix install. I have been using it for several months and i am happy with it.

I always used the apt-get tool to get updates en upgrades from the internet, which functioned perfectly untill the Debian servers were compromized.

Since that time i have been unable to use apt-get. It just doesn't make a connection.
I checked /etc/apt/sources.list and tried different servers (from the Netherlands, Twente), it wont work. When i fill in a different server i get errors (error in /etc/apt/sources.list).
When i leave it at the ftp2.de.debian.org, it fails to connect and it tries the next one : non-us.debian.org. But it doen't download anything.

The current server that i filled in is the original : ftp2.de.debian.org
I can resolve this server, i can ping it, so i can conclude that it does exist.
Apt-get logs in to this server, but does not download one bit of what it should download.

Can somebody give me an advice on how to tackle this problem please ?

If you need any config-files text to help me please tell me which one you need, i will post it here.

Thank you in advance.

Post your complete /etc/apt/sources.list here and we'll have a look at it.

That's one long sources.list!
It looks OK to me. From your post it's not obvious how you go about connecting - is it apt-get update that is causing you trouble?

If you could copy what's printed in your terminal and post it maybe that would give us some clues.

Oh, and you have checked your logs for weird entries?

Well, i already found out what my mistake was.

I visited a lan-party a few days ago, and i changed my resolv.conf to 172.16.0.1. Obviously my mistake i'm afraid, but thanx for the suggestion.
I feel like an ass lol.
