apt-cache search <package> show package size?

Hi, is there anyway to show package size that comes up in the search so you don't have to apt-get install package individually and wait for the installation initiation and then reject to install after it gives u the [y/N] confirmation thing?
Thanks

apt-cache show <package> or aptitude show <package> will show more information, including size. The only thing that bothers me is that the two tools don't seem to match up the size...

Alternatively, you could search the online package database and see what it reports as a size for the *.deb file.
