Thumbs down Applications lost one after another...

I've just installed Linux about one week ago, and it really got me. But today i've lost my help-center and some other apps too. Related files are in the correct location, and shortcuts are also seem correct.
I'm using SuSE9.0,KDE.
Can somebody help me to recover this?

Thanks.

How do you mean lost?
it doesn't start anymore?
What error-messages do you get? Which programs are exactly missing?

what happens if you launch one of the missing programs from console?

Strange. You could try to delete the folder called .KDE at your /home/user/ directory:

rm -rf /home/ratbatblue/.KDE

That would delete all your settings as well. However, next time you start KDE, a new .KDE with default setting will be auto-created. This is a little work around that I've used numerous times with older versions of Gnome, but might also help you also. Needless to say, I never did it with KDE, so good luck

Regards!

For example Suse help-center!
the programs don't work even from the console.

I'm wondering that applications are very poor-written on Suse.don't you agree?
