Question Application fonts appear square boxes

I am using SuSE Desktop (KDE) 10 and recently upgraded some libraries, pango, cairo... after the pango installation, some application fonts appear as square boxes. When I switched to GNOME, all fonts are in square boxes. I think pango messed up the font system but uninstalling/installing it didnt worked.

Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to LQ.

Is it possible for you to download the older pango version? If you can, download it then forcefully uninstall the newer version and then install the old version.

I tried using the rpm that came from the original installer. The square boxes is gone
and has been replace by blank text.

error: %post(pango-1.19.2-3.1.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 127
