APM and Mandrake
Hi, my system is hanging at shutdown after fresh install of Man 10. I remember reading a post about enabling APM, could someone walk me through this pls?

go to "Configure Your Computer" in the System/Config menu
go to Boot then to Bootloader and tick the "enable ACPI" box then reboot next time you shut down it should shut down properly |
Enabling acpi on my mb and aswell in Man config didn't do the trick. The system still hangs on shutdown, it will reboot properly after enabling acpi and I will see the term signal and halt on the verbose screen...but...the next time I try to shutdown..the hang problem appears.
edit: I get the notification from my monitor that it is "out of scan range" when it hangs..same everytime. |
I had a problem like that on my old IBM t40. Check and make sure that you have the proper video drivers installed.
