Apache2 + SSL for the first time

Is there an good HOWTO on installing Apache2 with SSL (mod_ssl & OpenSSL)?

On a side note, I'd also like to find a well-documented resources for the following. It seems to like a lot of users would benefit from the common web & email server. I'm trying to document my process for future use, but don't understand why these are so elusive.

Linux (w/ SSH, Tripwire, Snort)
Apache2 (w/ SSL)
PHP (w/ Sablotron XSLT & GD Library)
Sendmail (w/ SSL?)

iptables and mysql seem to be well-documented.
