apache2


Hello.I don't know apache2 very good, but I want to lern.I installed it on my sebian sarge server short time ago.But I have two (easy) questions:

1. how do I (exactly) change the document root?

2. how do I (exactly) change the default site?

1.) Use the DocumentRoot directive in your apache2.conf or httpd.conf (Depending on our distribution.)

2.) Sorry, I'm not sure exactly how it's done, but I think it probably involves changing a symlink in sites-available. Once again, not entirely sure.

Look here under "Apache2 installation in debian". This will explain how to do it.
BTW, you know how to use the konsole & vi or kwrite?

Hey.Thank you all for help.I'll try it today.I know how to use console, but I use nano instead of vi.My server has no graphical environment.I am glad to get help so fast.
