Apache Segmentation Fault $HTTPD $OPTIONS -k $ARGV


Hi all,

I'm running Fedora 16 with kernel 3.1.0-7.fc16.i686.PAE upgraded from Fedora 15 with kernel 2.6.(something) ...

I'm having problem starting my apache web server

apache gives this error message :

[root@localhost ~]# /etc/init.d/httpd start
Starting httpd (via systemctl):  Job failedSee system logs and 'systemctl status' for details.
                                                           [
FAILED
I've tried apachectl and gives an intresting error :

PHP Code:
[root@localhost ~]# apachectl start
/usr/sbin/apachectlline 102:  2028 Segmentation fault      $HTTPD $OPTIONS -k $ARGV 
could some one help please

I've found something in my kernel messeges

[ 83.798284] httpd[2012]: segfault at d ip 005ed9f5 sp bfcdd7a0 error 4 in mod_perl.so[5d1000+33000]

please help if someone knows how to fix this

yup, problem solved ...

bug found at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=730832

just comment the line mod_perl module in the /etc/httpd/conf.d/perl.conf

makes it look like this #LoadModule perl_module modules/mod_perl.so
