apache in fedora not working
I am running the latest version of redhat fedora and trying to use the pre-installed http configuration services. I set it all up to what i believe to be is correct but then when i go to check if i can connect to the ip all i ever get is: "the connection was refused when attempting to connect to the target ip xxxxxxxx" . Am i missing some kind of permissions or something? I set the server name to my ip address, to listen to all available ip addresses, left the rest as defualt and added a basic index.html page in my /var/www/html directory which appeared to be what the server wanted to use as the root dir.
any help would be appreciated. thanks |
Is the httpd daemon running?
do a 'nmap localhost' |
Did you enable the firewall during the install process? You may need to make some rule adjustments.
