Apache Directory Studio Connection Error

I have configured ldap client and ldap server on Linux Redhat 5.1
I am following this tutorial:
http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...tory_Structure

when I do "service ldap start" , OK is the response I get, which means ldap is configured and responding.
Now when I set up the ldap connection in Apache Directory studio, I get the following errors attached. It shows these errors for some time and then also verifies the authentication.

After the authentication, I get these errors; attached namely, screenshot & screenshot2. It by passes the errors but the connection is still not established.

connectionname: localhost
port: 389
bind dn= dc=example, dc=com
password: slappasswd

Any idea, how to solve this issue?

Thanks..
najK
