Unhappy Apache and MySQL servers won't run at startup!

Hello -- I'm new to Linux and am trying to get a server running Apache/MySQL/php up and running. I've installed Apache and MySQL and have confirmed that they are working fine, however, I would like to have the Apache and MySQL daemons run when I boot the machine, and not have to start them manually.

From what I can read from the documentation on both Apache and MySQL, the RPM installs should have set that all up automatically, and (from what I can tell) the boot scripts in /etc/init.d seem to be configured correctly, but I'm not completely familiar with how the scripts in the /etc/init.d directory are handled internally by Linux, so I can't be sure.

If anyone could give some suggestions on things I could check or fix to get this up and running I would appreciate it!

In a terminal screen, type
chkconfig --list
to see whether the servers are turned on in each level.
If not, type
chkconfig --level 2345 httpd on
chkconfig --level 2345 mysqld on

And please make sure you only put your question in one place.
Double posting causes a lot of headaches and unnecessary clutter here, which is why we place it in the Forbidden category.
