I have yet to hear about anyone actually getting online using aol as isp on linux. The stories I have heard are that aol's software does not play nice with linux clients.

after all, linux doesn't run thier adware and spyware they infest the aol browser with. ;)

That's not entirely true. People who use Puppy Linux have a super easy install and use of a program called penggy (they call it penggy4puppy I think). And I thought that Linspire's AOL Dialer works only for Linspire & Freespire users.

I tried it on my Knoppix Linux box. Utter total failure. If you have Linspire, and it doesnt work for you :shock: I do not have a clue how to help you. And I am truly sorry to post something that you may find useless.
