Anyone seen this DNS error before?

I setup DNS on a production server after getting it to work okay on a fedora 7 test bed. Setup was easy and straight forward but I'm having a major pain in the you know what with the CNAME feature.

Everytime I add a CNAME and process to save the configuration it pops up with the following error:

"save of zone file /var/named/chroot/var/named/slaves/domain_name.db failed: dns_master_load: /var/named/chroot/var/named/slaves/domain_name:13 name_of_host.domain_name: CNAME and other data."

Can anyone help?...I really need this feature.

This is the content of my /var/named/chroot/var/named/slaves/domain_name.db file. Line 13 is hostE...the host I was trying to add CNAME for.

Code:
$TTL 1H
@ SOA hostname. root.hostname. ( 7
                                                3H
                                                1H
                                                1W
                                                1H )
                                NS hostname.
                IN 1H A xxx.xx.xxx.10
hostA IN 1H A xxx.xx.xxx.11
hostB IN 1H A xxx.xx.xxx.12
hostC IN 1H A xxx.xx.xxx.13
hostD IN 1H A xxx.xx.xxx.14
hostE IN 1H A xxx.xx.xxx.15

And these are the two zone files I was able to locate...

Code:
$TTL 86400
@ IN SOA @ root (
                                        42 ; serial (d. adams)
                                        3H ; refresh
                                        15M ; retry
                                        1W ; expiry
                                        1D ) ; minimum

                IN NS @
                IN A 127.0.0.1
                IN AAAA         ::1

[root@myhost named]# cat /usr/share/system-config-bind/profiles/default/name d/localdomain.zone
$TTL 86400
@ IN SOA localhost root.localhost (
                                        42 ; serial (d. adams)
                                        3H ; refresh
                                        15M ; retry
                                        1W ; expiry
                                        1D ) ; minimum
                IN NS localhost
localhost IN A 127.0.0.1

Same problem. You find solution?

I get the same error message.
I suspect that some "permission" needs to be enabled somewhere, but I have no clue...

Workaround

system-config-bind has a "bug" creating CNAME records.
They come out like this:
IN 1H CNAME hg

instead of
hg CNAME trixter

Maybe the tool's version is valid, maybe not. But it gets rejected.
So you must edit the .db file some other way, and put the correct type of CNAME records in.
