Anti virus & spyware


Is there a need for this in Linux???

Good question; after several years of linux use I'm inclined to say 'not yet, anyway'. I would run a rootkit detector once in a while.

Spy ware no. Almost no need for a anti-virus program either. Klamav is available, there are a few more. I use one to check for viruses on my windbloze partition.

There just are not many viruses that willeven execute on a linux machine.

I use klamav, but only so that I do not transfer windows viruses to my windows boxes.
