Another Openssh question

OK. The forum helped out with getting SSH installed but now I can't seem to get it running? I try to log onto the ssh but I get connection refused. I tried starting the ssh daemon with "service sshd start" and that didn't work it told me that wasn't a valid service. I tried manually starting it by going to /etc/rc.d/init.d but there was no sshd file in there. In fact there was no file even starting with ss in there. Does this mean I did not install it properly?

you probably didn;'t install the server rpm, just the client.

make sure you have all three of:

/smb/iso/MD81-1/Mandrake/RPMS/openssh-2.9p2-4mdk.i586.rpm*
/smb/iso/MD81-1/Mandrake/RPMS/openssh-clients-2.9p2-4mdk.i586.rpm*
/smb/iso/MD81-1/Mandrake/RPMS/openssh-server-2.9p2-4mdk.i586.rpm*

(ignore the mountpoint)

the -server contains the init script etc...
