Angry Another Atheros problem...

Ok so ive installed nidsgtk, ndiswrapper and im trying to get my wireless working on ubuntu 8.04

Ive run across a couple of websites including madwifi that says madwifi will not support atheros 5007 thats why i chose ndiswrapper

anyways so i need someone to walk me through the process of installing the atheros 5007 wireless driver onto ubuntu and running the .inf so i can get my wireless. Atheros 5007 not 5007eg because google doesnt know the difference.

any help is much appreciated. And could you make it easy to understand because the only commands i know in linux are ls and cd lol...

The OpenHAL driver from the Madwifi project supports the ar5007 chip perfectly well, I am using it on my Acer Aspire One netbook, along with the wicd Graphical manager (network-manager does NOT support the new HAL driver)

See the Debian Acer Aspire One wiki for directions. http://wiki.debian.org/DebianAcerOne

You don't need the ndiswrapper shim to make this card work.
