Anaconda Says Fedora CD Not In Drive. Weird.

I am trying to install F9 on a somewhat older system (athlon xp 2100+, 1 gig DDR333, 40 GB HDD, Geforce FX 5200)

The hard drive is completely formatted and is a blank hard drive. I turn the computer on with the F9 disk and Anaconda starts the pre install. Then a message pops up and says the Fedora Install disc was not found in any of my drives. This is not a problem I have run into before and have installed fedora on many systems before. I guess you could also rate me as one step above a newbie, although I am not completely fluent with linux yet.

This is the first time I used this specific disc to install from so I thought it might have been a bad burn. So I tried a commercially produced Fedora core 6 disc I have that I have used many times. Still the same message. This disc came with my Network Administration book from College. Both discs are in good condition and very few MINOR scratches on them.

Any suggestions would be helpful. I hope I can get a fix for this problem soon because I'm running Knoppix off of a disc right now and it sucks.

Have you tried googling your drive brand/model to see if others have already run into this? What is the brand/model, BTW? I see some indication that the ide=nodma kernel boot parameter might at least be worth trying. Also, pci=off ide1=0x180,0x386.
