Anaconda is hanged during installation

I am trying to install Fedora core 10 on my system(Intel 945G ). However as soon as anaconda installer is getting started, It is showing some abnormal characters. It got stucked after some time.I have done mediacheck and its showing that cds are all right

There are two questions related to it

1. Any Guess on why my anaconda is getting stucked as soon as it getting started, Any sugggestion on how to avoid it

2. I come to know that we can install linux with text mode also, How ever as per article
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l...-starting.html

"boot: " prompt should appear as soon as I am booting it from my cds, However it is directly showing me grub prompt with no boot: prompt ..

Can You please suggest, Where I am going wrong.

Because you are using Fedora the link wont be applicable everywhere. Fedora has different boot screen than red hat.
fedora can still be installed from text mode. To be very sure can you just try a different disto like Ubuntu and then find what issue it can be.

How to get into text mode:

fedora forums suggest F10 has got some issues with Intel graphics chipsets and your 945 is one of them. It is most probably your graphic chipset that is causing the problem.
For cross checking what might be causing the issue check with some other distribution like Ubuntu that should not have problems.
I had this issue with PCLinuxOS that is based on Fedora (I guess).
