AMsn Installing


Hello everybody, i;ve installed RHES4 Linux , and im trying to install amsn but i cant, i dont know why?i've downloaded .tar.bz2, ant .tar.gz but the i cannot "make install", just configure, and with rpm too, when i try rpm -i packagename.rpm cannot install any idea...

With the source file you can do ./configure fine. But does ' make ' work. If so then you goto ' make install ' and this is the problem. If so are you root when you issue the ' make install ' command. If not then you need to ' su ' to root and run the command again. Same may apply to the rpm command. I use the -ivh option for more info of the install. Posting the errors can also help provide a better answer than the guess I am giving you.
